Deputies Receive SRO Certification…

10/15/2018

Three Cherokee County Deputy Sheriffs received a certification as a School Resource Officer (SRO) last week.  According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, the three attended the 40-hour SRO training at the University of Tennessee’s Law Enforcement Innovation Center.  The training is essential to working with and protecting students, faculty, and administration in our school system.  Deputy Thomas Key, Deputy John Sentell, and Deputy Kasey West received the certification this past Friday.  The three join Investigator Jordan Kelley to make a total four professionally certified SROs in the Sheriff’s Office.
