According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, on Monday, July 23, 2018, Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested a suspect in connection with a burglary that occurred in Sand Rock that morning.  Corporal Keith Morgan responded to the scene and immediately gave investigators the victim's description of the suspect and his vehicle.  Investigators located the suspect, Joseph T. Hunter, 28, on Sand Rock Avenue and stopped him.  Hunter was in possession of the stolen property from the crime scene.  He was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center on charges of third degree burglary.
