According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, a Sand Rock man was indicted by a Cherokee County Grand Jury this week for attempted first degree rape and sexual abuse of a child less than 12. Sheriff’s Office Chief Investigator Josh Summerford, Investigator Michael Green, and Investigator Jordan Kelley arrested 45 year-old Michael R. Stiles on Wednesday evening at a residence in Leesburg.  The indictments are the result of an investigation conducted by Investigator Kelley. Stiles was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center where he is being held on a $300,000 bond.
