Man in Jail After Pursuit by Deputies…

According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, a Piedmont man is in custody after fleeing from deputies in the Spring Garden area on Thursday.  Deputy Daniel Money attempted to stop a vehicle on County Road 33 and the vehicle fled.  After a brief pursuit the vehicle crashed on County Road 175.  The driver, James Michael Goss, 44, was in possession of illegal drugs and was arrested and transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center for attempting to elude, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.
