Sheriff’s Office Investigators Arrest 14 in 3-day Period...

According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Cherokee County Investigators made 14 arrests in a 3-day period from Thursday through Saturday. Thirteen of those arrests were felony drug charges, including trafficking and distribution. One arrest was for Richard S. Shepherd, 32 of Centre, who is wanted on a drug charge in Oklahoma.

The other arrests include: Sara B. Kubach, 20 of Cedar Bluff, on 2 counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (UPOCS) and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia (UPODP), Andreanna Phillips, 20 of Rockmart, on 3 counts of UPOCS, UPODP, unlawful possession of marijuana (UPOM), and trespassing, Sara Brennen, 21 of Rockmart, on 3 counts of UPOCS, UPODP, unlawful possession of marijuana (UPOM), and trespassing, William R. Whipkey and Zach V. McBrayer, both 18 of Marietta, on 3 counts of UPOCS, UPODP, unlawful possession of marijuana (UPOM), and trespassing, Tanner Ellis, 20 of Chickamauga, for UPOCS, UPOM, and carrying a pistol without a permit,  Preston White, 27 of Gaylesville, on drug trafficking, 3 counts of UPOCS, and UPODP, Gregory Reed, of Centre, for UPOCS, April Qian, 37 of Centre, for UPOCS, Corina Carver, 39 of Cedar Bluff, for UPOCS and UPODP, Robert Ellinger, 38 of Cedar Bluff for UPOCS and UPODP, Ricky Flynt, 40 of Centre, for unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, UPOCS, UPOM, and UPODP, and Cody Haney, 24 of Centre for possession with intent to distribute and UPODP. 

According to Sheriff Shaver, these arrests were made at multiple locations across the County, including areas of Centre, Cedar Bluff, Leesburg, Gaylesville,  Jamestown, John’s Crossroads, and Kirk’s Grove. 

According to Sheriff Shaver, several of these arrests were made while deputies were working the ADECA traffic safety grant and the ADECA statewide drug task force grant.
