According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, investigators from the Sheriff’s Office have charged a suspect in an arson case.  The suspected arson occurred at a residence on County Road 81, and fire departments from Broomtown, Gaylesville, Cedar Bluff, and Tucker’s Chapel responded to the blaze.  Major Crimes Unit Investigators Jordan Kelley and Leigha Blake processed the fire scene. Investigator Kelley, the county's newest fire investigator, obtained a warrant for second degree arson for Melissa G.
