Cherokee County Investigators Make Arrest in Burglary Case...
According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, a Jackson County man was taken into custody by investigators on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, in connection to a Cherokee County burglary, which occurred approximately two weeks ago. Sheriff's Office investigators with assistance from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office located the suspect in the Dutton area and recovered a firearm stolen in the burglary. Johnny T. Townson, 33 of Dutton was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center where he awaits bond on burglary charges.
