The Sheriff’s Office recently acquired a new tracking canine, appropriately named “Tracker.”  The addition was made possible through assistance from a Spring Garden couple and local veterinarian, Dr. Jeremy Deaton.   Tracker is assigned to Investigator Michael Green.  The bloodhound will be used to locate missing persons and track fugitives.  Sheriff Shaver said, “Tracker will potentially be a huge benefit to law enforcement in Cherokee County.  We appreciate the people involved who made it possible for us to acquire him.”
