Burglar Caught in the Act…

According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, a Georgia man was arrested on Monday, December 26, 2016, after a Sheriff’s Office investigator spotted the man taking items from a residence on U.S. Highway 411.  Investigator Brent Snead was passing by the residence just north of Centre when he observed the man loading the items into his car.  Snead confronted the suspect and confirmed he did not have permission to be there.  James Allen Johnson, 60, of Conley, Georgia, was arrested and charged with third degree burglary.  The suspect was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
