According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, a wanted suspect is now in custody and facing additional charges after leading deputies on a pursuit in the Spring Garden community Wednesday evening.  Deputies Michael Green and Nick Vaughn were on their way to serve multiple warrants on Adam Studdard, age 25, of a Piedmont address when Studdard was spotted by Deputy Green on County Road 29.  Deputy Green attempted to stop the vehicle, but the suspect fled and led officers on a pursuit, breaking abruptly several times in an attempt to wreck pursuing officers. Studdard crashed his vehicle into a guardrail on County Road 111.  He resisted arrest, and officers had to Tase the suspect to subdue him.  In addition to the warrants, Studdard is also being charged with felony attempting to elude and resisting arrest.  He is currently incarcerated in the Cherokee County Detention Facility.
