According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, authorities were dispatched to a location off US Hwy 411 north where a man was found with what appears to be a self-inflicted gun-shot wound.  Cherokee County Deputy Coroner Carl Brown pronounced the man dead at the scene.  An investigation is ongoing, and more information will be released at a later date.
