AREA BURGLARY SUSPECTS

08/11/2012

The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office is working in conjunction with Floyd and Polk County authorities to apprehend burglars in their areas.  Several residences have been broken into with flat screen TV’s and other personal property stolen.  In Georgia, one resident was home at the time of the break-in.  In another Georgia incident, the resident returned home and encountered the thieves leaving her property, so she blocked the driveway and call 911.  One of the burglars pulled a gun and forced her to move and allow them to escape.  One of the suspects is described as a young white male, approximately 5’9” tall, thin build, with shaggy blond hair and dark eyes.  The other is a black male, about 5’9” tall, and his hair is longer on the top than the sides forming a small Mohawk.  His eyes appear to be green.  The suspects were driving a charcoal grey Nissan with a wildlife style Alabama tag.  Sheriff Jeff Shaver stated it is unknown if the same suspects are involved in burglaries in our area, but warned residents to be on the look out for these individuals and contact investigators with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office at 256-927-3365 with any information
