Rolling Meth Lab arrest on May 26, 2010

The Cherokee County Vendors Voluntary Compliance program paid off on May 26, 2010, when Joshua Wayne Ellison, 32, of Leesburg, was arrested by Cherokee County Narcotics Agents. Local vendors reported Ellison had purchased suspicious items they believed were going to be used to manufacture methamphetamine. Ellison and a second person, who is currently under investigation, were stopped by agents, and a clandestine mobile methamphetamine lab in the cooking process was discovered inside the vehicle. Ellison was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center and charged with trafficking methamphetamine, 1st degree manufacturing methamphetamine, conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.
