4-11-10. Acting on information received from concerned citizens, the Cherokee County Narcotics Unit began surveillance on a Gaylesville residence. Agents identified a suspect entering the residence. Sheriff Jeff Shaver along with investigators and narcotics agents responded to the location and arrested three people. Agents also seized a little over ten pounds of marijuana and $3658 in cash. Those arrested were James William Callahan of Gaylesville, Rodrigo Padron-Perez, and Avila-Sanchez Felix. This arrest was made under the Cherokee County Drug Counter Enhancement Program, which is funded by a $300,000 Justice Department Grant.
