According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, investigators made an arrest in connection with a burglary and theft investigation of an elderly woman's prescription medication in the McCord's community. 

Cortney Reed, 33, of Cedar Bluff, has been charged with Burglary 2nd Degree and Theft of Property 2nd Degree. She was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
