According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, a report was made in reference to a stolen trailer last month.  The trailer was later recovered in Calhoun County and was later retrieved by the owner.  Investigators quickly developed a suspect and subsequently arrested Preston Matthew Burt (21 y/o of Centre) for Theft of Property 1st Degree.  Burt was arrested and transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center.
