According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, Deputy Tray McMeekin was patrolling near Watson's crossroads when he observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. The pursuit continued through the Broomtown area and later came to an end when the driver ran out of gas. The driver was identified as Jammy Trent White (41 y/o) of Gaylesville. White was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center on Attempt to Elude (Felony), Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and several felony warrants, including trafficking meth, through the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.
