According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, a Gadsden man attempted to elude law enforcement in the Ellisville area yesterday afternoon.  Chief Investigator Brown and Investigator Hairston observed a vehicle traveling in the middle of the road and attempted to stop the vehicle.  The vehicle refused to stop- ensuing a pursuit that later ended when the vehicle came to a stop on County Road 14. The driver, Joshua Dwayne Bailey Jr. (24 y/o) was taken into custody. Bailey was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center on charges for Attempt to Elude, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
