End-of-the-Year Awards

12/15/2022

Each year Sheriff Jeff Shaver hosts an End-of-the-Year Awards celebration for Sheriff's Office employees.

During this meeting, Sheriff Shaver and Chief Deputy Summerford presented awards to show their appreciation to many Deputies and Corrections Officers for their outstanding performances during the past year while serving and protecting the residents of Cherokee County and for their dedication to the Sheriff's Office.

A Medal of Valor was awarded, posthumously, to Corporal Keith Morgan and his presented to his wife. Corporal Morgan passed away in February of this year as a result of contracting COVID-19 while selflessly serving the citizens of Cherokee County.

Pictured below are Deputies and Corrections Officers that received an award for going above and beyond in their daily duties.
