Crime Tip Line Leads to Arrest

(Cherokee County, Alabama) Information received on the Crime Tip Line led to an arrest on January 23, 2020.

 

Matthew Arthur Riggs, 34, of Gaylesville, was arrested after a tip led investigators to a residence on County Road 135.  Methamphetamine found inside the house along with a lab being used to make THC oil. 

 

"We appreciate the citizen who informed us of Matthew Riggs location," Sheriff Jeff Shaver said.  "Riggs had an active warrant for Bond Revocation and is now charged with Manufacturing 2nd, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia."
