Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving

As we celebrate Thanksgiving let us take time to thank God for our many blessings. We should be thankful that we live freely in the greatest nation on earth.

I encourage you this Thanksgiving to be a blessing in some way to those less fortunate. As we enjoy the freedom to fellowship with our family and friends let us not forget the men and women in our Armed Forces, both home and abroad, who will be away from their families during the holidays allowing us to celebrate in peace.

Also, remember those who will be working around the clock this Thanksgiving, the men and women of Law Enforcement, Firefighters and Emergency Medical Personnel that protect and serve our communities.

I want to remind everyone that no matter how far you are driving this Thanksgiving - whether it's down the road to a friend's house or hundreds of miles to see a relative - your seat belt is your best defense in case of a crash.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the citizens of Cherokee County. Your efforts to enhance safety and cooperation with our office helps make our County a great place to live and work. I am thankful for the assistance you provide through the crime tips hotline, website, and in person. I sincerely appreciate your commitment to the safety of our community.

Let our hearts be full of both, thanks and giving.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Your Sheriff,

Jeff Shaver
