2 Drug Investigations Net 5 Arrests for Trafficking & Distribution…

Cherokee County Sheriff’s investigators arrested 4 individuals on Thursday for drug trafficking.  According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, the 5 arrests were the result of a drug investigation conducted over the past few months.  Investigators arrested 2 of the suspects, Morrio M. Fife, 36 of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and Larry E. Williams, 35, of Trion, Georgia, during a vehicle stop on the causeway on Highway 68. Fife and Williams were both charged with trafficking in methamphetamine. 

Deputies, investigators, and Cedar Bluff Police arrested the other two suspects at a residence on County Road 513 near Centre.  Joshua W. Langley, 23, of Centre, fled on foot when law enforcement arrived at the residence, but he was quickly taken into custody.  Langley was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, 2 counts of drug distribution, attempting to elude, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and resisting arrest.  Gwendolyn Fife, 36, of Centre, was arrested at the residence on charges of trafficking methamphetamine, drug distribution, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

In an unrelated drug investigation, Sheriff’s Office investigators, on Thursday, also arrested Latrisha R. Mobbs, 31, of Cedar Bluff, for 2 counts of unlawful distribution.
