According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, investigators from the Sheriff’s Office and Centre Police Department executed a search warrant on Sherry Drive in Centre.  Illegal drugs and paraphernalia were discovered at the apartment, and four people were arrested.  Bobbie F. Underwood, 43, was charged with unlawful distribution of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and second degree unlawful possession of marijuana.  Melvin McElrath, 52, Rhonda S. McGee, 46, and Brittany J. Underwood, 26, were charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and second degree unlawful possession of marijuana.  All four were transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center, where they await bond.  Sheriff Shaver stated he appreciates the assistance of the Centre Police Department in serving this warrant.
