On Tuesday, September 8, 2016,  Cherokee County deputies and investigators executed a search warrant in the Blanche community which resulted in two drug arrests.  Investigators recovered a quantity of methamphetamine and marijuana.  Sandra L. Payne, 52, and Bryan K. Conley, 60, both of Blanche were charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.  Payne was additionally charged with six counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.  The suspects were transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center, where they remain awaiting bond.
