According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, deputies arrested Reginal E. Dowdy, 38, of Trion, Georgia, Saturday night, February 13, 2016, after a brief pursuit in Cedar Bluff.  Deputy Dustin Huggins spotted a vehicle speeding on County Road 92 and attempted to stop the driver.  The driver refused to stop, ran into a ditch, then continued to flee.  The suspect turned into a trailer park and had to stop at the end of the road, where he was taken into custody by deputies.  Dowdy was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center on charges of driving under the influence and attempting to elude.
