According to information released by Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, a 54 year-old Centre man has been arrested for 2 counts of first degree sodomy. Jeffery Lee Jordan was arrested Wednesday, December 30, 2015, by Sheriff’s Office investigators. The charges against Jordan stem from an investigation of abuse of a child, which allegedly took place several years ago.

Jordan is currently being held in the Cherokee County Detention Center awaiting bond.

The case remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and, therefore, no other information may be released at this time.
