Two Arrested for Burglary in the Tucker’s Chapel Community…

According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, a resident of the Tucker’s Chapel community notified 911 the security system indicated an intruder at his home on County Road 47.  Deputies and investigators promptly responded to the scene to find that the home had been broken into and encountered two suspects.  After a pursuit on foot, the two suspects were taken into custody. 

William Darrin Blevins, age 50, of Fort Payne was charged with third degree burglary, first degree theft of property, resisting arrest, and attempting to elude.  Christopher Daniel Jones, age 26, of Fyffe, was charged with third degree burglary, first degree theft of property, resisting arrest, attempting to elude, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, and third degree promoting prison contraband.  Both were transported and booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center.  Investigators were also able to locate and recover the property stolen from the victim’s residence.
