According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver two people were arrested on trafficking methamphetamine charges late Monday night. 28 year old David Mallory Shelton of Anniston, and 36 year old Megan Dee Hall, also of Anniston, were taken into custody in the parking lot of the Centre Walmart after purchasing a large quantity of crystal methamphetamine from an undercover officer with the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation and Counter-Drug Unit. Shelton and Hall made contact with Investigators after accidentally texting the wrong number and they made arrangements to purchase the illegal drugs from the undercover officer.
