Cherokee Deputies Arrest Three Etowah County Residents on Drug Charges

On the afternoon of Thursday, May 28, 2015, Deputy Michael Green made a traffic stop in the Slackland area and one of the occupants of the vehicle jumped and ran into a nearby wooded area. Deputy Green observed suspected drug paraphernalia and arrested the other two occupants for unlawful possession of a control substance. Deputies responded to assist in the search for the fleeing suspect, who was taken into custody a short time later. Trevin Latrey Marbury, 18, of Gadsden is charged with attempting to elude, resisting arrest, and unlawful distribution of a controlled substance. Jeremy Antonio Bledsoe, 19, of Gadsden and Krystle Anne Hawkins, 26, of Hokes Bluff are charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Sheriff Jeff Shaver stated the three are currently housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
