According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, 28 year-old Ashton Garrett was arrested by investigators in the Spring Garden area on Thursday, June 5th.  Garrett was a fugitive from Cincinnati, Ohio and is wanted in Ohio for theft, identity fraud, and falsification.  The Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office was contacted by the Hamilton County (Ohio) Sheriff’s Office with information that Garrett may be in Cherokee County.  Investigators began following up on the information and were able to locate and arrest the fugitive.

   Garrett is in the Cherokee County Detention Center awaiting extradition to Ohio.
