On November 4, 2010 Deputies recieved a call about a female being threatened in the Gaylesville area. Upon arrival Deputy Woods learned that the male making the threats was Michael Rece Hall, an absconded sex offender. Hall was seen in Gadsden last week by Sheriff Jeff Shaver where an attempt was made to apprehend him. Hall eluded officers for several hours. Hall is now being held in the Cherokee County Detention Center. Two other people were also arrested at the same location for Hindering Prosecution 2nd.
