On Wednesday, July 21, 2010, Cpl. Kirk Blankenship was investigating a report of a burglary in the Gaylesville area. Acting on information received from the public, Blankenship discovered some of the stolen property at the residence of Steven Craig Thomas. Thomas was arrested and charged with 3rd degree burglary. Some of the stolen property was also located in Centre. Thomas was transported to the Cherokee County Detention Center and has been released on $3500.00 bond.
