Cherokee County Sheriff's Office Teams Up with Crime Stoppers...

According to Sheriff Jeff Shaver, the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office has teamed up with Central Alabama Crime Stoppers.  Crime Stoppers is a non-profit organization that brings together law enforcement, media, and the community to stop, solve and prevent crime.  Crime Stoppers also encourages members of the community to assist local law enforcement agencies in the fight against crime.

Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to individuals for submitting tips that lead to an arrest in many type cases.

According to Sheriff Shaver, the tips are made to Crime Stoppers and are then forwarded to the Sheriff's Office to help keep those individuals anonymous.  He said, "we are excited about this new partnership and believe it will be a useful tool in keep Cherokee County a safe place."
